I saw this is Kandasu's journal and, simply, couldn't resist.

Being a good guy is most definitely your greatest asset, as well as your worst nightmare; trust me, I know. -_-

On the brighter side of things, people respect you, and you know, feel, and believe that you are, indeed, a righteous fellow. It's a great feeling.

But, at the same time.. The heart is a very delicate instrument.. And, being nice usually means it's going to be crushed, burned, impaled, stepped on, shattered, ripped apart, blown up, and generally fucked up, a lot easier than those who are heartless.

Sometimes, I wish it was the other way around, but I realize this is how it has to be, so I grit my teeth and bare it.

In the end, I stick to one philosophy, and I'll leave you to ponder it.
